We’re very proud to announce that Northcote 2015 will be taking place on December 6th and that Legends Arising is the official media partner of this years edition. With the sold-out 2014 edition still fresh in our memories, we’re eager to share the plans for 2015 and announce the first names on the bill.
So long, farewell, Patrick
First of all, organizer and initiater Patrick Batenburg has decided to throw in the towel. After organizing shows for ten years, he had seen and experienced enough and decided it was time to move on. We want to wish him all the best with his future endeavors. You can read his full statement in an interview that was published yesterday by Legends Arising.
A new organization and a new room
For the first time, Dordrecht’s main music venue Bibelot is teaming up with hardcore enthusiasts to organize Northcote. In 2013 the venue moved house and found residence at cultural hotspot Energiehuis. It offers Northcote multiple stages for alternating sets, space for a merch and distro market, in-house food, and most importantly, the possibility to book more bands then previous years. This year the basement room will be exchanged for “Machine 3”, a bigger room with an old industrial character.
International line-up
We are thrilled to announce the first twelf bands of this years line-up. Such Gold from Rochester, New York will be playing an exclusive NL show at Northcote as well as Wolf Down (DE) and Adjust (UK). Code Blue Coma (DE), Lotus (BE) and The Uprising (DE) represent the young up and coming punk hardcore class along with local bands Hesperian, Rites, Backbreaker, Tarantino, Cold Mind and Rott ‘n Damned. Many other bands will be added to the line-up.
