Swamps

What are your expectations of Europe? Are there any European acts you are looking forward to seeing?

“We have no expectations. We don’t know what to expect, but we like it that way. Can’t wait to see all the European acts! Siked to hear new stuff.”

What is your best tour experience to date?

“There is nothing more fun than tour. I don’t understand the point of being in a band if you aren’t gunna tour, you know what I mean? Top of the world feeling. Lighting off fireworks getting into shit.”

We love Seven Sides. Any plans for a new release in the near future?

“We are working on putting out a four-song EP. We will be playing some new jams on this tour. I’m real fired up on these new songs and I can’t wait to get them out there. We are gunna be putting them online for free this time and printing up CDs for free. Fuck charging kids for music. I’m beyond siked anyone wants to listen to my band in te first place man.”

When comparing Seven Sides to Corroding Kings you can hear a real difference, do you think you have grown as a band?

“We are definitely growing as a band for sure. Everyday. We got rid of our last bullshit drummer. He was a huge softy. Usta cry on tour and stuff. We got this new drummer and he is the man. Nick our guitarist is a genius. He just really knows what he is doing. We would be nothing without his ass. And me and Tom are just down fools.”

What bands have been an influence on Swamps?

“All of us have different influences and are inspired by so many different bands. That’s why we have so many ideas. My favorite band and biggest inspiration is My Chemical Romance. You can laugh but that band is tight as fuck.”

Any local us acts we should keep an eye out for?

“Look up Revenge. Rude Awaking. War Cross. Dick Move. Apes of Wrath. Black Sheep. There’s a lot of great bands around here.”

What does the music you play and the scene mean to you?

“This band is all I got. I put everything I have into it. I write songs about how the people and world around me make me feel. This band is far from a joke for me. Don’t know what I’d be doing with out the Swamps and the brothers in this band.”
